Inventors! We studied inventors and inventions from long ago and from not so long ago. As a culminating project to inventors and inventions, the students became inventors and created inventions of their own using all different types of materials.

The children each shared their inventions with the class. The discussions they had with each other and questions they asked showed the higher level and critical thinking skills used during this project. As a whole class, the students realized how much hard work goes into being an inventor. They started with a plan and changed their plans throughout the project based on the discoveries they were making while working. Although they agreed being inventors took a lot of effort, they had a great time and worked very well together!
